Hi,
I like to make my own jewellery too. In Elounda some of the tourist shops sell strings of semi precious 'chips' but I have not seen any other kind of beads for sale. There is a shop in Agios which also sells semi precious beads along with ready made jewellery. Not sure of the name of the shop but it is on one of the main streets leading down to bridge over the lake, at the bottom, on the right. However ..... they are more expensive than I can buy them from internet stores in UK. Depending on the cost, I sometimes buy ready made pieces of beaded jewellery and break them up to make my own designs. I can have hours of fun just looking! Best wishes. Juke |

Juke thank you for the great advise (about breaking them up). Juke the semi precious 'chips' are those like Agates?Do they have a hole in them to use in a neklace?
Once again that you Juke |

Hi again,
Yes, the chips are mostly agate, but I think I've seen amethyst, dyed coral and mother of pearl too. They are small uneven stones, with holes, sold in fairly long lengths. I usually use one or two as spacers between other beads/stones. Juke |
